CREDIT REPORT

About your credit report

We will pull a tri-merge credit report within 48 hours after your first payment to the firm and email it to you with the subject line “Your Creditors.”

Your credit report is a great starting point to find a list of your creditors, but not all creditors report to the credit bureaus.  What is important to focus on is just to make sure that the name of the creditor and address is listed.  The debt amounts do not have to be exact as all the debt will be discharged.

A common misconception in bankruptcy is that you can pick and choose who you list, but you are required to list ALL creditors — even a library fine of $3.00 for example.

Common creditors who may not appear on your credit report are medical debt, HOA obligations, small collection accounts, family members, government fines, taxes, or any other creditor who does not report to the credit bureaus.

You will need to add any creditors who do not appear on your credit report to your online questionnaire (MyCaseInfo) in the ‘Debts’ section.
